My Closet

Any fashion obsessed girl can agree with me that you dream of having a closet like Dulce Candy's, or even better. These days it seems as though most if not all of our favorite fashion bloggers are moving out on their own and using extra bedrooms as closet space, or they are building their dream closet from the ground up.

If you live in a college dorm like I do, the reality is that your room is probably the size of a closet. I got lucky my room is very spacious however this closet is just not cutting it.

I am starting another monthly fashon challenge and the first day asks that my closet looks like. So here I am sharing it with you.

I'll be honest the bottom part never looks like that because that is were I usually store all my sweats, hoodies sleep wear so its usually piled in a chair in the corner.

I try to color coordinate because it makes it easier to find things.

Sometimes when I'm feeling anal about what I'm going to wear the next day I'll pick it out the night before and decide how I feel about it in the morning.

I finally started working again so obviously we are back to random purchases =]

Briefly in past posts I've mentioned that I really want to try color pigmented lip products. I haven't been bold as to purchase any that I like so far but when I returned from vacation my friend brought me this Avon lipstick that I've fallen for. I honestly did not expect to like it as much as I do. I'm not use to having color on my lip so obviously I can't douse my lips in it but I think it looks decent like this with a little bit of lip gloss.

It didn't dry out my lips but I don't believe it is a 500% moisture boost like it says (silly advertisement people) lol

Overall I'm very happy with the color turn out on my lips. I can't wait to try it on fully lip liner and all. :)

So Much Excitement!!!

I finally start classes today!

I'm this excited because I attend an over priced school and although I believe the educated I'm getting might be worth it, I'm going to be drowning in stupid amounts of depth that I'm not looking forward to. This semester I will be taking a Retail Management class, Services Management, Astronomy, some Economics class and a Film and Fiction class.

---Me by the end of the semester haha!--->

...On to more news the GIANTS and Patriots are going to be playing in the Superbowl again! I'll be honest last time I truly ENJOYED the Superbowl the last time these two teams played. Mainly because my boyfriend then was a Giants fan. I remember he drove to my house and it was literally like he came back from the war or something lol it was the cutest little moment <3 So this year, the guy I'm talking to a huge patriots fan. Needless to say

IT IS OOONN!

Also bought a ton of things that I cannot wait to share. I do realize it is the middle of January so no one will really care about Christmas presents but over the last month I've come across some really awesome products that I think just about everyone should try! :)

...Don't call it a haul but that might be what it was :) lol I just bought a bunch of stuff from eyes lips face and I was feeling bold so I wanted to try some lip color as well. Not in love with what I got so far but since its my first time I'm still trying a few different tactics. to see what works out best for me =]

I subscribe to their email and ELF basically ALWAYS has a promotion going on. (Or maybe its because it is the holidays.)

Here is what was purchased;

I've never tried concealer before and this is perfect so far. That little hair think came imbedded in it [GROSS]. $3.00

The are all pretty much true to color both in the picture and when swatched on my skin.

Going along with the bold theme, I wanted to try this color lip gloss from H & M and it was going wonderfully, like I fully fell in love with it actually till the brush fell of the stick the second time I tried to use it. The lip gloss was super sticky it felt exactly how Victoria's Secret did when they first started advertising their lip gloss.


The sparkles show on your lip as well. It literally has the perfect finish.

So finals are finally over and I am home now so frankly I have a ton of time to sort through my emails and really weed out some good content =] with that said there may or may not be one or two post a day now lol =]

I know I promised a video of shopping anddd its still coming I didn't like the way I looked on camera especially since it makes me look SUPER prissy -_-

In my email I found these really dope boots that I would not mind calling mine. I immediately searched for winter boots because that I was what I need the most. This is what came up;

The Baggy Canvas comes in various colors as well. This one stood out to me because I typically go for black shoes and after watching someone's youtube videos today I realize that it is okay to go for different colors. *Ps I wear a size 8.5 in boots :)

I also came across these rain boots that I really love;

This one is the Pama Rain. I have to admit I do have quite a few rain boots and I definitely do not need another one. However if I was to get this I would willingly throw out all the other ones ...well may one or two 0_O

How To Save A Life

More than 1 million new people are diagnosed with cancer each year. Many of them will need blood, sometimes daily, during their chemotherapy treatment.

Ironically behind me the poster says: "You don't have to go through college like everyone else." But the advertisement had nothing to do with the Red Cross.

I have been religiously donating blood since I turned 18 (High school) I have made it my mission to donate at least twice a year, and I have bee faithful ever since. The idea that I could possibly save someone's give just by giving them blood is all the reasoning I need to give. Think about it; you really aren't loosing anything by giving. 

I guess what I'm really trying to say is, if you knew you could possibly save human life just by giving some blood, or even if something happened to you and a blood transfusion is what saved your life...wouldn't you be grateful?

It was quite the hectic Monday for me, and it wasn't even the good kind. I had to fib about school work and then bad karma made sure I suffered for it. Lost a piece of my skin. I'd post a picture if it wasn't so gross but I'll let it rock. My marketing class was a waste of time the teacher yelled at us and everyone left (as usual) and now I'm sitting in accounting class waiting for everyone to get back from break so we can continue.

I realized I haven't posted anything about my hair in a super long time. Since this Thanksgiving will be one year since I finally got rid of all the perm, when would it be more appropriate to post about a hair update?

I'm not usually one to take photos or make notes or keep logs of my hair. I sort of do what I do when I want to do it, however I see fits. Not to say that I don't care or anything but that is just the way I am with my hair.

Okayyy enough text I know everyone wants pictures yah? =]

I have the most coarse, kinkiest, coilest hair type possible. So bad that I don't even want to type (cast) it.

The twist = actual length the rest of it is my hair after I was it. *Peep the random finger coil near my ear? lol*

It took so much work and effort that (I don't have to give right now) to get here.

All in all my hair is capable of so much, if I would just give it the attention and love that it deserves. I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I first started going about this. I still don't really have an idea of exactly what I'm doing half the time but it is what it is, and it is going to be what ever comes of it.

The other day I instagramed a picture of my breakfast at work because it was so darn delicious I couldn't keep to myself and I just thought I'd share it with you guys here ..because days later I can still almost taste the *crunchy exterior, soft almost melt in your mouth interior, adorned with perfect little sesame seeds and lightly spread cream cheese :)

I feel like I'm always expressing how much short life is and how time spent with loved ones is extremely important... I always say if you love someone let them know.

I purchased this "super nourishing lip balm" from Sephora mainly because I couldn't find mine at the moment and I couldn't go to work with chapped lips lol and also to add on to my points. I honestly believed this product was going to be amazing keeping my lips nice and soft for at least as long as I have the lip balm on my lips.

The lip balm is sheer and at first goes on like the EOS lip balm but after a few uses it just goes on like regular chap stick and speaking of uses; I've gotten about 3 weeks of usage out of this tiny thing. It has this odd "moisturizer" smell but its not strong enough to be over powering or anything.

It definitely is addicting for sure because although I have invested money in better lip balms this one just didn't really work out for me too well. At the end of the day I got what I paid $5.00 USD for.. #shrug I wouldn't buy it again and I wouldn't really recommend it for anyone either.

Something Old, Something New

...Over the summer, staying on campus to take summer classes was something new for me. I have never been in Albany during the warm weather let alone taking glasses when it was shorts and tank season....I was however appalled to find out that even though school seemed to be in session the Starbucks on campus was closed!!! ..long story short, school started starbucks opened everyone is happy. I usually stick to one thing but this time I decided to try something new along with my usual :) ...the glazed doughnut is my favorite and unless they do not have any in stock I will order something else

...My usual Tall Passion Tea changed to a Tall Salted Caramel Mocha and it wasn't bad. It definitely was not salty at all except for the random sip or salt taste I got at the end lol ...I guess it was just chillin on the froth [shrug].

I got this gold glitter nail polish from Old Navy a while back and for the longest time I contemplated getting a second helping for the future when I ran out ...simply because it was just that amazing. Well I didn't and I have never seen it there since. Last time I stopped by I saw the silver and decided to get it because well who knows, it could be gone forever next time as well.

I could imagine being in college and having the unlimited funds to do what ever you want. Really when you have a shopping addiction that would be like euphoria. I mean really. So I always put myself on a shopping diet. It changes every time. This time I only shop on payday. Getting close to my last year as a college student. This is the last opportunity I have to make silly mistakes and not have it cost my life. To act a fool and not be worried by how the outcome is going to affect me. But is that what I'm going to do ..no lol

I've spent all these years obsessing over my future and making the right decisions so I wont jeopardize my future. What I am going to do this year is take everything with a grain of salt and continue to do everything that makes me happy. I can't afford to have a crappy last year.

Ahh ...so excited I finally purchased iMovie and my first video was an interview I put together for my step team's blog page. The camera quality is not the best ever but I guess that is one more thing I can put on my list of things to invest in. I think I did a pretty decent job for a fist timer. Everything is quite similar to windows movie maker except imovie is obviously MUCH cooler lol...duh? :) I have a ton of things to get done now so I'm just going to leave you with the video.

I always knew I wasn't going to keep "Sparkling Love" forever for the simple fact that it was too girly and I don't think it embodied what I want my blog to be about very much. Since my 21st birthday is creeping up around the weekly corner I have been thinking.

Maybe its time to give Sparkling Love a facelift. A more mature approach that will be welcoming of all ages and sexes. (no guy will openly admit to liking a blog named sparkling love)

I'm not too sure if I'm ready to change the name of my blog yet. I gave myself till Monday to determine whether or not I'm keeping the name.

(Either way I'm not looking out on anything because if I end up not liking it I can always change it since its not the domain name.)

Usually when taking a shower (depends what time of day it is) I find myself either making plans or refelecting on my day.

I've noticed though that I become more aware of my problems when I'm stressed in the shower because that is all I think of.

So lately a lot has been going on and I couldn't place my finger on what was wrong.

Well as the stress escalated I realized I have lost sight and focus on things that are of importance. My mom sent me this prayer and I have to admit it really relinquished me in a way that I know nothing or no one else could. So I just wanted to share for those of you who are interested. I hope this does for you what it did for me : )

I don't remember if these were from Macy's or Lord & Taylor but they are the most comfortable pair of espadrilles I've ever tried.

At first there were a pain to walk in but after they were broken in, (they left a really nasty scar on my right foot but its fading now) they have become my favorite reach for sandals. Too bad I can't wear them in the winter lol.
